Doxazosin (as mesylate).

TABS: 30 X 1 mg
TABS: 30 X 2 mg
TABS: 30 X 4 mg
NO INTERACTION WITH FOOD
Hypertension, benign prostatic hypertrophy (B.P.H.).
Hypersensitivity to quinazolines.
Marked hypotension, treatment to be initiated with the 1 mg dose, pregnancy and lactation, impaired hepatic function, patients receiving drugs known to influence hepatic metabolism, impaired renal function, syncope, occupations in which orthostatic hypotension could be dangerous, carcinoma of the prostate should be ruled out prior to commencing therapy.
Dizziness, vertigo, arrhythmias, dyspnea, orthostatic hypotension, palpitations, peripheral edema, tachycardia, headache, unusual tiredness, nausea, nervousness, restlessness or unusual irritability, rhinitis, somnolence.
Does not affect protein binding of digoxin, warfarin, phenytoin or indomethacin. There is no information on the effect of other highly plasma protein bound drugs on doxazosin binding. Has been administered without any evidence of an adverse drug interaction to patients receiving thiazide diuretics, ?blocking agents and NSAID’s.
