Topical treatment of external ocular infections caused by ofloxacin sensitive organisms.
Hypersensitivity, hypersensitivity to other quinolones.
Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including fungi. Should be discontinued at the first appearance of a skin rash or any other sign of hypersensitivity reaction. Should not be used while patients are wearing hydrophilic (soft) contact lenses. Pregnancy and lactation: Should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. A decision should be made whether to temporarily discontinue nursing or not to administer the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
Transient ocular irritation, extremely low incidence of dizziness with numbness, nausea and headache.
The systemic administration of some quinolenes has been shown to enhance the effects of the oral anticoagulant warfarin and it derivatives, and has been associated with transient elevations of serum creatinine in patients receiving cyclosporin concomitantly.
